Mousehole has several great places to eat and drink. You have to start, of course, with the one and only, The Ship Inn. Its famous for its fish and chips and rightly so; it’s as good as we have had anywhere. The muscles are also good and there is a wide variety of great meals to choose from. 2 Fore Street provides fine dining and the highest standards of fresh local cuisine such as sea bass and crab linguine.
Hole Foods and Deli does a range of dishes and highly recommended is the seafood paella. Go upstairs for a great view of the harbour as the sun sets. They also offer a takeaway service and you can buy plenty to eat and drink here. The Rock Pool Café by the harbour car park offers great views and crab sandwiches, Ploughmans, afternoon teas, cocktails, and more.
The Old Coastguard Hotel’s Upper deck, sun deck, terrace and bar has a super menu offering Fowey mussels, Gurnard, Bouillabaisse, Newlyn Crab, Plaice etc. etc.
All of these are within just a 2 minute walk from The Little Net Loft!
Further out then head for the Kings Arms Pub in Paul – it’s a 15 minute uphill walk from The Little Net Loft but with a nice and very easy walk down the hill on your way home! Fish & Chips, Scampi, whitebait, Burgers, pies, fish dishes, and much more!
Tip: In the busy months book ahead (even before you travel)!
